Proposal Overview

Overview

Harris Avery Hill

The Department for Education has appointed Willmott Dixon to develop the design proposals for the new Harris Academy on the Avery Hill Campus of the University of Greenwich.

The entire project team shares the desire to celebrate Avery Hill's unique Victorian legacy and ensure its vibrant future. We are looking forward to sharing the plans with you. The Harris Federation and the design and construction teams will be on hand to answer your questions and we will listen carefully to your feedback and suggestions.

Beyond the design of the building, the new school will be an asset to the local community by providing education with drive and ambition and will be available for community use outside of school hours.

Many of you will be familiar with Harris Academy Greenwich, which is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. The two schools will share an Executive Principal, Mr. George McMillan, and have common approaches to education, behaviour, and values. The new school will draw on and build on the achievements of Harris Academy Greenwich which is the best non-selective school in the borough.

Below is a video fly-through of the proposed school
